The Procrastinator

Real quickly, I just want to mention that Michael Orr (Mao), Betsy Neely, Brad Wright, Jim Hunt, myself and an assortment of others do a monthly or bi-monthly newsletter that gets emailed out to people. The newsletter is called The Procrastinator and it’s full of articles about culture, travel, politics (don’t be alarmed), and sports [...]

Alright people, you know how this works. I’m going to post what I’ve got so far, if you want to add your in-game thoughts, throw them in the commentary section. After these intial entries, that’s where I’ll be adding my comments.
Enjoy.

For those of you who don’t read our newsletter, the Procrastinator, we try to throw in an Onion-like satirical piece or two every week. I was a slacker and didn’t get this one in, but felt like posting it, anyway. Sorry if it’s already a bit dated.

2008 Highlights

We started this site back in March of this year and since then we’ve be churning out some interesting and some self indulging posts on sports, politics and society. Over at the Society page I already did a sort of best of 2008 for posts on our society page, so I figured why not do [...]

The standings:
Mao 272 (33), Jim 269 (53), Lauren 238 (31), Jeff 224 (33), Jared 217 (31), Trey 200 [...]

Trey picked a hellava week to skip town and leave the picks to his deputies. Could be a good week for upsets, though. In an almost complete reversal of last weeks picks, everyone had fantastic scores but me. Yahoo.
The standings:
Mao 239 (29), Jim 216 (1), Lauren 207 (27), Jeff 191 (21), Jared 186 (23), [...]

It Worked!!!

WooHoo!!! Now who’s going to replace him? My vote goes to Chavis, and then Chavis either gets rid of the offense or he recruits to suit it.

Let’s go Cocks

I have NEVER, I repeat NEVER, wanted USC to win a football game, but that has changed. I will root for USC tomorrow only for the hope that if UT loses, the alumni will force Fulmer (fat ass) out of the head coach position.
So I timidly say… yay… USC… you guys are great… woo

In light of the Cubs ignominous departure from this postseason, my one consolation has been watching the Rays continue to defy expectations and win the American League crown.  They face a tough task in the National League champion Phillies.  The two questions that arise now are, can they win, and if so, would their victory [...]
